The Dabond polyester machine sewing thread from COATS offers all the advantages for the modern sailmaker. Dabond is designed to withstand extreme weather conditions and therefore provides excellent UV and abrasion resistance. Dabond is primarily used for making sails and other outdoor applications where high demands are placed on the stitching.

Dabond has high tensile strength and a consistent, controlled stretch. Thanks to its “bonded” properties, high-speed sewing is possible, and Dabond does not melt when the needle becomes hot. Dabond is abrasion-resistant, UV-stabilized, resistant to seawater, and mildew-proof.
